Notes

Released on 20 June 2006, I’m Going to Tell You a Secret pairs a live recording of the Re-Invention World Tour, captured at the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy on 4 and 5 September 2004, with Jonas Åkerlund’s behind-the-scenes documentary of the same name. It was Madonna’s first live album.

The set leans into the political edge of the American Life era, with “The Beast Within”, “American Life” and a cover of John Lennon’s “Imagine”, before closing on a rock demo of “I Love New York”, later reworked for Confessions on a Dance Floor. The film was nominated for the Grammy for Best Long Form Music Video.
