The first song recorded for Confessions II, and the one that opens it: a slow, hypnotic build that drops you straight onto the dance floor and leaves you there.

The Song

Madonna brought Lil Louis’s 1989 house classic “French Kiss” into the studio, and she and Stuart Price built the track around a line sampled from it. It also samples Madonna’s own voice, from a 2021 interview with V magazine, and its title nods back to “Into the Groove”.

There is no conventional chorus. Like an underground club record, it grows slowly, layer by layer — a feeling, Madonna said, of dancing in a crowd where no one is judged.

The Release

Released on 17 April 2026 as a first taste of the album, it reached number one on Billboard’s Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart — her first number one on a Billboard radio chart in eighteen years. Peggy Gou’s Energy Mix followed on 15 May.

On Stage

Madonna performed it at her free Pride Month concert in Times Square on 4 June 2026.
