US Dance Club Songs No. 1
The very first song Madonna worked on with Mirwais, “Impressive Instant” is joyful nonsense — and pure dance-floor energy.
The Song
It was almost complete on the demo Mirwais sent her, which made it the natural starting point for their partnership. Its lyrics are playful and abstract, its vocal processed and robotic.
On Stage
It was performed on the Drowned World Tour in 2001.
