Fado meets protest: Madonna lists the people the world pushes aside, and promises to stand with each of them.
The Song
The first song she wrote with Mirwais for the album, it is built on a guitar recorded at a fado session in Lisbon. Its lyric is a roll call of solidarity: “I will be gay, if the gay are burned.”
On Stage
It was performed on the Madame X Tour.
