The Song
Written and produced with Stuart Price, it celebrates love as comfort, strength and release. Madonna was clear about its purpose: “‘Love Sensation’ is just joy.” Despite the title, it is not a cover of Loleatta Holloway’s 1980 disco hit.
The Single
Released on 4 June 2026 — the day Madonna performed it in Times Square — it reached number eight in the UK and topped Billboard’s Dance Airplay chart, her ninth number one there.
Afterhours
The Love Sensation (Afterhours Mix), a six-minute duet with Kylie Minogue produced by Price, was released on 6 August 2026 after a preview at Club Confessions in Amsterdam for WorldPride. It was their first official studio duet.
