A last-minute addition that became one of the album’s highlights: Peggy Lee’s “Fever”, reimagined as deep house.
The Song
Recorded when another track, “Goodbye to Innocence”, was not working, it uses Peggy Lee’s rewritten lyrics, uncredited, over Shep Pettibone’s house groove.
The Video
Stéphane Sednaoui filmed Madonna covered in silver and gold body paint, surrounded by flames.
