Madonna brings Confessions II cinematic premiere to Tribeca Festival

Madonna will return to the Tribeca Festival in New York for the world premiere of a new cinematic presentation created to accompany her forthcoming album, Confessions II.

The screening will take place on Friday 5 June 2026 at the Beacon Theatre, followed by an exclusive conversation between Madonna, directors David Toro and Solomon Chase of TORSO, and Jimmy Fallon. The Confessions II cinematic experience has been directed by TORSO and produced by DIVISION, powered by Dolce & Gabbana.

Running at over ten minutes, the film is built around the first six tracks from the new album, including “I Feel So Free” and “Bring Your Love” with Sabrina Carpenter. Rather than presenting the songs as separate pieces, the project unfolds as one continuous visual work, using interconnected music-driven sequences to create a single immersive experience.

Described as both cinematic and physical, Confessions II appears to place Madonna back inside the world that has so often defined her: the dancefloor as theatre, refuge, confrontation and release. The film moves through bedrooms, clubs, bathrooms, cars, arenas and open spaces, following a feverish night-world shaped by pursuit, performance, desire and surrender.

Across its six chapters, the project explores themes that have long surrounded Madonna’s work, including privacy and exposure, grief and catharsis, intimacy and spectacle, fandom and collaboration.

The announcement positions Confessions II as a continuation of Madonna’s lifelong relationship with visual storytelling. From music video to live performance, film, fashion and club culture, Madonna has repeatedly treated pop music as something larger than sound alone. Here, the album is introduced not simply through singles, but through a cinematic event that frames the music as atmosphere, movement and mythology.

The post-screening conversation will offer further insight into the creative process behind the project, including how the album’s opening tracks were translated into a visual world. Tribeca Festival Co-Founder Jane Rosenthal described Madonna’s reinvention as “its own art form” and called Confessions II immersive, provocative and rooted in the nightlife mythology that only Madonna could create.

The world premiere of Confessions II takes place on Friday 5 June 2026 at 8.00pm at the Beacon Theatre, New York City, as part of the 2026 Tribeca Festival.
